Lone Star College is an open-enrollment institution and applying is always free.
Are you a new student? Take the first step and complete the online application through Apply Texas and choose Lone Star College.
After submitting your admission application, complete other admission requirements as needed:
Complete Pre-Assessment Activity and Placement Testing
Unless TSI Exempt, all students take the TSI assessment to enroll. To learn more about the pre-assessment (required prior to testing), test options and fees, exemption criteria and remote/online testing, see the Placement Test Preparation website for more details.
Bacterial Meningitis Vaccination
The bacterial meningitis vaccination requirement must be satisfied at least 10 days prior to attending classes that include a face-to-face component taught at an LSC campus. Students who are enrolled in classes that are taught fully online are exempt from this requirement.
Submit Transcripts
High school transcripts should be submitted to Lone Star College upon high school graduation. College transcripts are required from all institutions attended.
New Student Orientation
All First Time in College Students are required to complete New Student Orientation before registering for class. Orientation can be accessed online through the Applicant tab in myLoneStar.edu.
CHSRMA Completion
Campus Health, Safety, & Risk-Management Awareness (CHSRMA) modules foster a supportive learning environment.
Finally, congratulate yourself for taking the first step toward a rewarding future - and register for class.
Good news, your application is still valid. Simply log in to the myLoneStar student portal to register for class. If you attended LSC more than two years ago, please complete the New Student Admission steps above.
